About Us

Over 100 Years of Excellence

Our journey began with small-scale residential construction. As we grew and took on larger homes, we realized that our clients needed the resources, quality, and expertise that only a commercial contractor could provide. As a result, we evolved to cater to larger residential estates and eventually expanded into commercial construction.

Our Focus

We take the time to listen to our clients. We provide realistic estimates and schedules to tackle any job in a straightforward and honest manner with no surprises. Our work is concentrated around the Portland Metro area, and includes both commercial and residential construction in a variety of market sectors.

Craftsmanship is our tradition. It’s been the cornerstone of our company since our founding in 1922, and it’s what sets us apart from the competition. Our team is comprised of skilled union carpenters with years of experience in self-performing carpentry, finished carpentry, and prefabrication, all carried out locally in our saw shop located in Downtown Portland.

Our company makes safety a top priority, and we are proud to have an unblemished safety record. We often work in tight and occupied spaces, and our teams are trained to handle such situations with the utmost care and caution. Our safety culture is not just a set of guidelines, but an essential part of our DNA. It’s ingrained in every member of our team and every aspect of our process.

Partnering with Perlo

Our goal of continuing our business while maintaining our reputation as a reliable general contractor led to our acquisition by Perlo Construction, one of the longest-standing and respected commercial contractors in Oregon.

Perlo Construction is a renowned name in the Pacific Northwest’s construction market; well known for their expertise in concrete tilt-up buildings, among other market sectors. They are also signatory to the carpenters union and regularly perform rough-carpentry themselves. Like us, they believe in doing what’s right for their clients, employees, and community.

Our Promise

To listen to our clients’ needs, provide realistic estimates and schedules, and get the job done in a straightforward and honest manner. No surprises.
